A cool thing happened the other day I was interviewed for a couple of articles. One was in the Huffington Post on my thoughts about pre-prepping your meal for Thanksgiving.

One of the greatest honors this far! I was asked to speak on a entrepreneurial panel at my daughters school. I was super intimidated because I was the only woman and almost didn’t do it because I didn’t think that I belonged there. But that’s what made me realize that I needed to be there so that everyone in that audience could see a woman do her thing In her own way, hear that story and maybe think I can do that! Or something like it.
I told the story of how I was diagnosed w/ ADHD and was one of the first students who used resources to take the ACT test. I did well on it and another kid in the class came up to me and told me that I was undeserving of that grade.
I went on to say that we all have our own brilliance, our own type of smart and they are the gifts that we have been given to share with the world. Lean into them.
I ended with “You are worthy of your dreams.” You need to share them because they are your gift to humanity. And you wanna know what happened! They all clapped. These amazing children. Who are on the precipice and just beginning. All of these questions lye before them. And if there is one hope that I could have for them all, is that they lean into their dreams. Show their own personal type of brilliance and share their individual gifts. Can you imagine that world?
That is a world I want to live in!
So inspired today by all of the kids who leaned in, showed up, listened asked questions and clapped!
